1930’s “Brass Piper” loco #4695 with 4693 Vanderbilt tender, is combination No 4696. Loco and tender are about 27” long together, have original gloss finish with brass and copper trim, red plate under cab windows and red lettering on tender plates. Tender has nickel-plated trucks, very slight warp to casting. Loco has original wheels, one has very slight warp, light wear to teal striping. Units have light dirt from display, very light wear, mainly edges and spot at edge of cab roof 1 side, It did not run, just “chattered” when bench tested, lights worked. As is, no operation warranty, up to buyer to get it running. Includes boxes as shown. Correct 4695 box for loco has writing on ends, tender box has very faded stamped data, some inserts. Hard to find a nicer looking Piper that is as original as this one.
