BETADINE AND VIRAL INFECTIONS
Sore throats are most commonly caused by a viral infection. Unfortunately, the exact causative virus is rarely identified and treatment should be effective against a broad spectrum of these organisms.
The active ingredient in Betadine Sore Throat gargle, povidone‐ iodine, ay be effective against many types of viruses and has a broader anti‐viral spectrum than other commercially available antiseptics. Sore throats are often a symptom of respiratory infections such as colds and influenza. Betadine Sore Throat gargle is useful in these cases.

Directions
Dilute 1mL to 20mL with water using the
measure provided and gargle for 30 seconds. Do not swallow. Repeat every 3-4 hours if necessary.
