Fix Your Max Trainer's Click, Clunk/Knock Noises!
*GENUINE OEM Nautilus Bowflex Max Trainer Parts*
No Max Trainer should make any abnormal noises. If your Max Trainer has a clicking, clunk/knock noise, then it is definitely worth adding these genuine Bowflex specially designed washers to help
reduce
or often totally
eliminate the noise!
Fits ALL Max Trainer models: M3, M5, M6, M7, M8, M9, and the Max Total.
These 6 special washers are now included with all newer Max Trainer shipments (so check yours to confirm if present), but if you have an older Max Trainer, or perhaps even a newer one that is missing these parts or maybe they are damaged, then order a new set today, or keep a spare set on-hand for future use!
Easy installation requiring only a 6mm Allen wrench (hex key).
****BONUS**** - Max Trainer noises can be due to various issues, some of which are typically fixed by these special washers. Purchasers of this kit will also be provided email assistance to fix any other issue or noise on your Max Trainer. All noises can be fixed to make your Max Trainer run like new again !
Each kit includes the following:
QTY 4 - "Felt Washers"
- (Used for clicking or rubbing sound). These industrial-quality felt washers are installed on each side of each roller wheel (2 per roller wheel).
Many Max Trainers can have a clicking or rubbing sound which is is due to the roller wheel moving side-to-side as it travels up/down the ramp rails (especially as the pedal speed increases). That lateral side-to-side roller wheel movement can slap against the roller wheel bracket and cause a clicking or rubbing sound that many owners find irritating. BY-DESIGN there is that gap on each side of the roller wheel to allow the lateral side-to-side motion and prevent mechanical binding and roller wheel lock-up and damage. But Bowflex fixed this noise issue on newer shipments by adding these OEM-designed, large, industrial-quality, felt washers to cushion the associated slapping & rubbing noise.
QTY 2 - "Wave Washers"
- (Used for a clunk/knock sound). These steel, spring-type washers are installed on the INBOARD side of the upper leg attachment area on the crank arm post (1 each per leg).
Many Max Trainers can have a clunk/knock sound which is due to the upper part of the leg moving laterally side-to-side and knocking against its mounting washer & crank post. BY-DESIGN there is a small gap in that area to allow the lateral side-to-side motion to prevent mechanical binding and machine damage. But Bowflex fixed this noise issue on newer shipments by adding these OEM-designed wave washers. The result is that the lateral side-to-side motion is still permitted, BUT it is cushioned to prevent the associated clunk/knock noise.
WARNING
- Many online videos and blogs INCORRECTLY state to add a flat steel or plastic washer to fill the gap in the upper leg location to fix the clunk/knock noise. The gap is intentional and by-design and the gap MUST remain and so you do not ever want to add any other type of washer in that upper leg location except for these wave washers! Using anything other than the specific-sized wave washer might cure your clunk/knock, BUT it can make your machine mechanically bind and get damaged...don't take that unnecessary risk...use the correct wave washer!
